Robin P. Marquez is a Dr. Ronald E. McNair Scholar and Assistant Curator for the University of Central Florida Collection of Arthropods, investigating insect biodiversity, ecology, and evolution. He has been nationally recognized as a Goldwater Scholar and was the only undergraduate student to receive the 2025 Entomological Society of America Alate Award. Previously, Robin has utilized his background as a multi-certified horticulture professional to conduct research, education, and stakeholder collaboration in sustainable landscaping that conserves our precious natural resources and supports pollinator biodiversity. Throughout his academic and professional roles, Robin uses his leadership, mentoring, and communication skills to improve the inclusion and accessibility of entomology education and outreach.
Robin is graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in May 2026 and is seeking opportunities to continue honing his skills as an early-career entomologist.
